GEL BUILDER
Things to know prior booking

What is Gel Builder?
Builder gel is a thick, durable gel product used to strengthen natural nails or create nail extensions. Unlike regular gel polish, it has a denser consistency that allows it to build structure, repair damaged nails, and add strength without being as heavy as acrylics. It is cured under a UV or LED lamp to harden and create a long-lasting finish.
Benefits of Gel Builder:
-
Strengthens weak or brittle nails while keeping a natural look.
-
Can be used to add length with nail tips or forms.
-
Lighter and more flexible than acrylics, making them feel more natural.
-
Long-lasting (2–4 weeks with proper care).
-
Soaks off more gently than acrylic, reducing risk of nail damage.
Considerations:
-
Requires curing under UV/LED lamp
-
Removal must be done carefully to avoid nail damage
-
More flexible but slightly less strong than acrylics
-
Possible risk of allergies or UV sensitivity
-
Can be more time-consuming and costly than standard gel polish
How it works?
Application:
-
Builder gel is applied in thin layers with a brush. Each layer is cured under a UV or LED lamp until hardened.
-
Building: More gel can be added to create structure or length (using tips or nail forms if extending).
Finishing options:
On the natural nails:
-
A thin layer is used to strengthen and protect, giving a glossy, natural look or a base for polish.
-
Ideal for:
-
Strengthening weak, thin, or brittle nails.
-
Protecting nails that peel, split, or break easily.
-
Suitable for clients who prefer a natural look without added length.
-
With tip (Nail extension)
Builder gel is applied over tips/forms to create added length and shape, then finished with polish, gel colour, or nail art.
Ideal for:
-
Perfect for special occasions or clients wanting a glamorous look.
-
Great for people who struggle to grow their natural nails.
-
Suitable for those wanting lightweight, natural-feeling extensions compared to acrylics.
