Acrylic Nails

Things you need to know prior booking

What is Acrylic nails?

Acrylic nails are artificial nail extensions created by combining a liquid monomer and a powder polymer that hardens when exposed to air. They are popular for their durability, length, and ability to be shaped into different styles, making them a go-to choice for people who want long-lasting, polished nails.

Benefits of Acrylic nails:

  • Strong and durable – less likely to chip or break

  • Protects weak or brittle natural nails

  • Long-lasting (2–3 weeks with proper care)

  • Easy to repair if one nail breaks

Considerations:

  • Can weaken or damage natural nails if not applied/removed correctly

  • Risk of fungal infection if moisture gets trapped underneath

  • Strong smell during application may be unpleasant

How it works?

Application:

  1. The technician dips a brush into liquid monomer, then into acrylic powder, forming a bead.

  2. This bead is placed onto the nail (or nail tip) and carefully sculpted into shape.

  3. The product hardens naturally in minutes as it reacts with air.

Finishing options:

1. On the natural nails

Acrylic is applied as a thin overlay for strength and durability, maintaining the natural nail length.

Ideal for: people who already have good nail length but want to strengthen weak, brittle, or peeling nails. Perfect for those who prefer a natural look with added durability. Good option if you want polish or gel to last longer without chipping.

2. With tip ( Nail extension)

Nail tips or forms are applied first, then covered with acrylic to create longer, sculpted nails.

Ideal for: Nail extensions are perfect for adding instant length and customised shapes for those with short nails. They are a great choice for special occasions such as weddings or parties where a more glamorous look is desired.
